In this episode of The Notable Woman Podcast, I interview life coach Mary Lunnen of Dare to Blossom Life Coaching.

In this episode of the podcast, I interview life coach Mary Lunnen. Mary is such a breath of fresh air as a coach. I enjoy everything about her – how she thinks, how she coaches, and what she believes about the power of potential we each have. We talk about Mary herself, her bout with cervical cancer and then becoming a coach. We also talk about her personal coaching style, as well as what process you might undergo if you decided you wanted to work with a life coach. We talk through how you might know you need a life coach, what questions you can ask yourself, and how you can find the right person for you. Great episode! Mary quotes Anais Nin with “And the day came when the risk to remain tight in a bud was more painful than the risk it took to blossom,” and I think that’s the perfect way to know if this episode is for you or not. If the risk of staying the same is more painful than blossoming, listen on.

IN THIS EPISODE, I EXPLORE:
  • Mary’s story
  • Mary’s coaching philosophy including visualization, the magic carpet, and the power flower
  • How you might know you need a life coach
  • How you go about finding a life coach

About Mary Lunnen

Mary Lunnen is a life coach living in Cornwall in the UK. She started out making and selling copper enamel jewelry, silk scarves, hand-stitched patchwork that she would sell as she traveled. Her life changed in 1994 when she was diagnosed with cervical cancer, and this journey eventually led her to life coaching, now named Dare to Blossom Life Coaching. Mary was inspired by the Anais Nin quote: “And the day came when the risk to remain tight in a bud was more painful than the risk it took to blossom.” Her books include her first about her journey with cervical cancer, Flying in the Face of Fear: Surviving Cervical Cancer, and her 2010 follow-up Cervical Cancer: The Essential Guide. She also has her book on coaching, meant to demystify the practice, Dare to Blossom: Coaching and Creativity. Mary’s 2019 theme is “Pathway to Power,” and we’ll see both a mastermind and a new book this year. Follow her journey and get on her mailing list here. (scroll to the bottom of the page)
