In this episode, I interview Marina Kuperman Villatoro, the trader chick who teaches both men and women the ins and outs of day trading.

I’m very happy to introduce Marina in today’s show! She’s a day trader and the CEO of The Trader Chick, a platform where she teaches others especially women to trade more confidently.

Prior to becoming a day trader, she was a fitness instructor and a travel writer. Day trading was her other passion, it was one of the things she wished she was doing until she decided to finally go for it.

Today, Marina breaks down the complexities related to trading. She also talks about her experience being a woman in a male-dominated industry and explored the common misconceptions women face when doing trading. Her goal is to remove the stigma that’s wrapped around trading and to show how life-transforming it is, even on a spiritual level.

Today, Lizzi shares her story about how she used her interest and talents for the arts as a channel to create her own creative business. Her business is proof that you don’t need to have millions of dollars and be the best at everything to start a business. A lot of us think that we need to have this amount of cash to start a business but Lizzi is here to prove you wrong. As long as you have a unique idea, you’re good to go!

About Melinda Grimaldi

MULTILINGUAL. MULTIFACETED. MULTIFARIOUS. These are just a few words that describe Melinda Grimaldi’s ability and talent for running her own law firm. But when it comes to her entrepreneurial spirit and hunger for success, Melinda only knows one way – up. Like the thriving skyline of South Florida’s east coast, Melinda Grimaldi’s passion for providing the best legal expertise she can, continues to grow, evolve, and flourish.

A graduate of Nova Southeastern University’s Shepard Broad Law Center, Melinda received her Juris Doctorate with honors, at the top of her class. Throughout the course of her law school studies, Melinda worked to represent low-income clients in family law matters as a certified legal intern with the Florida Supreme Court. It was in this role that Melinda realized her passion for helping others through her extensive knowledge of the law, and where she established a commitment to making a difference in the lives of others throughout the course of her career.

Today, Melinda practices real estate law and probate law, as well as estate planning, at Grimaldi Law Firm in Hollywood, Florida. Once she started a family of her own was when she really got a passion for Estate Planning for families with minor children. She prides herself on being able to give her full attention to her clients while remaining a flexible leader for her team.

When not in the office, Melinda lends her time as the President of a strong female networking group, Profemmes, and is the Real Estate Attorney Member for the National Association of Divorce Professionals. Additionally, she is a member of the Real Property Probate & Trust Law Section of the Florida Bar, and a member of the Hollywood Chamber of Commerce.  Most importantly, she is the mother to Michael.

Cristin Downs is an alchemist, theatrical thinker, producer, educator, speaker, and podcaster. She rules her tiny roost at Pace University as the director of the continuing studies unit. She’s had a pretty eclectic career, but moments that truly defined her sense of self: becoming a strong woman leader and independent thinker at Cedar Crest College, learning arts exceptionalism at UC Irvine’s School of the Arts, experiencing first-rate business processes with the mouse at Disneyland Resort, and becoming an activist at Riverside Church. Meeting Ruby Dee, Robert Downey Jr., James Earl Jones, Ntozake Shange, and Dana Reeve were all fairly awesome moments. Cristin loves to read, the theatre, dancing in the kitchen, and her family and friends.
