About Melissa Mendez

Over the past 10 years, Melissa Mendez has worked in the fashion apparel world for companies such as Talbots, Macys, Ellen Tracy, and Garan Inc. (Garanimals- Children’s Wears) to name a few. Melissa studied at Parsons New School for Design in Fine Arts for 2 Years as a Jacob Lawrence Scholar. She received a 4 year BA Degree from Fashion Institute of Technology [ F.I.T ] in Production Management in Fashion and Related Industries. Melissa’s artwork has been featured at El Museo Del Barrio & The Studio Museum in Harlem right beside James Vander Zee, a prominent photographer from the Harlem Renaissance.
